The City of Las Vegas as well as nearby Henderson are two of the fastest growing cities in the United States. The Las Vegas area is also ranked as the one of the top areas to retire to in the United States. For the active senior, retirement couldn't be better than in Las Vegas.

Sun City Anthem

We'd like to share with you what thousands of folks, age 55 or better, have already learned - that when it comes to searching for an amazing lifestyle and a beautiful home, nothing beats Sun City Anthem in Las Vegas, Nevada, located just a few miles from the Las Vegas Strip.

Sun City MacDonald Ranch

Located in Henderson, this is the sister project to Sun City Summerlin. Smaller in scale than Sun City Summerlin with around 2,500 homes, Sun City MacDonald Ranch features an 18 hole golf course, tennis courts, pool, spa and a community center. The prices here are overall a little lower than it's Summerlin counterpart. Lot sizes are on the average smaller. Note, this community was sold out as of Feb 2001.

Promenade

Promenade is a guard gated community with a total of 188 homes. This makes for a very secure living environment. It is located just south of the I95 expressway and very close to The Meadows Mall and shopping of all kinds. There are free standing homes available here as well as attached "villa" style homes. They were built in the late 1980's. The free standing homes are fairly large and are single story. They range from 1809 sq. ft. to 2286 sq. ft. and are priced from approximately $140,000 to $180,000. The "villas" are priced from the low 100's to the mid 100's. and are also single story. All homes have 2 car garages. Promenade has an impressive entry with lake and waterscape. This community is close in and close to most all services, but has a very secluded feel to it. Amenities include pool and clubhouse. Los Prados

Los Prados has been around for awhile. The initial construction was begun in the late 80's and was completed around 1998. There are several "communities" inside Los Prados approximately 1/2 of which are age restricted. I have been told that even in the non-age restricted "communities" around 1/2 the homeowners are of an age to qualify for age restricted. There is a nice clubhouse with a restaurant and 2 pools, one of which is for adults only. The community is built around an 18 hole golf course and many homes back up to the golf course. By Las Vegas standards, the golf course adjacent homes are relatively inexpensive. The infrastructure has improved greatly the early years of building. Shopping in now much more convenient, plus Los Prados seems not so far out, given the location of current construction. Prices vary from the relatively low 100's to the mid 300's with most of the inventory well under the high side mid 300's price. Some homes are attached, but most are free standing. Additional amenities include tennis courts and walking trails. Rancho Las Brisas

Rancho Las Brisas is a jewel of a little community that is located just across Tropicana from Spanish Trails, a large exclusive golf course development. It is gated with a total of 180 homes. All are detached properties with 2 car garages. You enter to view of beautiful pool, clubhouse area. Sizes of homes range from 1188 sq. ft. to 1768. Both one a two story homes are available. The two story all have the master bedrooms on the first level. Nice close in location just west of Rainbow. These homes were built during the late 1980's and early 1990's. If you are attracted to a relatively small Las Vegas age restricted environment, then this is some real estate you should consider. Siena

This is a gated community with recreation center and community pool.
