Ocean Front & Ocean Views

Ocean Front.

Oceanfront Properties can be explained as a single family home located abutting the ocean waterfront. These properties are usually the most pricey and can have whitewater views. Single family homes are usually priced in the millions of dollars. Oceanfront condominiums can be located directly at waterfront or the complex can be waterfront and can run into the millions of dollars, too.

White Water

Whitewater views tend to be the next sought-after type of property and the next pricey type property. These single family homes and condominium complexes may be directly at water's edge or higher up on a hill. Sometimes they can sit a half-mile away from water's edge. Seeing the white caps of the waves hit the beach is what is usually referred to white water views.

Ocean View

Ocean, Bay, Lagoon views are also popular and demand a premium. These views can be located quite close to the body of water or could be inland several miles looking-out toward the Ocean, Bay or Lagoon. The extent of the views can run from a small corridor type view to a panoramic 180* view or more.

Prices

Prices vary depending upon the area within San Diego County. For instance; a one- bedroom condo in La Jolla or Del Mar with approximately 500 Sq. Ft. can range from $300's and a single-family home (approximately 1,300 Sq. Ft.) in these areas can start in the $500's and go to $20million for a home with approximately 13,000 Square Feet.

However, being away from the water by several blocks may significantly reduce your purchase price by up to $100,000.00.

A one bedroom condo in Point Loma (approx. 700 Sq. Ft.) starts in the high $200's as a single family home (approx. 1300 Sq. Ft.) from the $400's to $4million with up to approximately 8,000 square feet.

A condo in Oceanside with some sort of view can start in mid $200's. A single family home can range from the high $200's to under $3million.

In Coronado a condo with approximately 700 Sq. Ft. can start in the $400's and range into the millions with 2,000 Square Feet as a single-family home can start in the $700's with 1,800 Sq. Ft. up to 7,000 Sq. Ft. into the millions.
