The Historic District in Key West reflects Victorian styles that includes wood clapboard houses, with porches, shutters,
widow's walks and tin roofs. These lovely old homes
were designed to take advantage of Key West's
prevailing breezes and provide cool comfort in this tropical setting.
Along with Old Town Historic Preservation District there is the Conch House architectual style of homes to choose from that reflect old time Key West. Click here for a great link describing Conch Houses.

Key West neighborhoods reflect a variety of lifestyles from single-family homes to condominiums and canal homes. There are just a few subdivisions in Key West and some of them feature condominiums and townhomes. Of course there are exquisite waterfront properties reflecting a tasteful blend of old and new styles, cottages, and contemporaries. Many of the waterfront properties are located on canals.
We will be publishing architectual styles and descriptions of Key West and the surrounding towns shortly.
In the meantime,
pictures of these various architectual styles can be found throughout our site by linking on our New Construction, Golf Communities, Reitirement Areas, Condominiums, and Gated Communities pages.
